Ministry of Justice of France (FMoJ) The FMoJ is a governmental judicial body containing several organs: the General Secretariat, an Inspectorate General of Judicial Services, and 5 departments including the prison administration.
The FMoJ has several missions: 1) preparation of laws and regulations in certain areas, such as family law, French nationality, civil justice and criminal justice, and others; 2) management of the means of Justice: personnel, equipment, buildings, information technology; 3 taking care of the populations entrusted to it by the judicial authority: delinquent minors or minors in danger and persons placed in custody and under supervision in the community; 4) defining and implementing public policies in the field of justice: assistance to victims of crime, penal policy, the fight against organised crime, and access to law and justice. |

IPS_Innovative Prison Systems IPS_Innovative Prison Systems (IPS) is a research and consulting firm specialising in advancing criminal justice systems, with vast experience in developing and implementing EU projects, namely in the area of judicial cooperation in criminal matters, as illustrated by their involvement in PRE-TRIAD, FAIRNESS, PRE-RIGHTS, and AWARE EAW. Moreover, it has experience in developing awareness-raising and supporting training materials for aiding stakeholders (namely judges and prosecutors) in their daily work.

Penal Reform International (PRI) PRI is an independent international non-governmental organisation that promotes fair and effective criminal justice systems that uphold human rights for all and do no harm, running practical programmes and supporting reforms to secure impartial trials, sentencing practices that are proportionate and promote social rehabilitation and humane conditions of detention where alternatives to imprisonment are not possible.

Belgium
Administration of the Houses of Justice (AGMJ) The AGMJ is one of the 5 administrations belonging to the ‘Féderation Wallonie-Bruxelles’ is made up of various departments: the Partnership Department (manages accreditation and subsidies of various associations active in social assistance for litigants, social assistance for detainees, meeting areas, assistance for victims); the Electronic Monitoring Department; the Training Department; the Violent Extremism Help Centre Department; and the directorates of the houses of justice.
In the houses of justice, the probation officers work with victims and with convicts to carry out and monitor their sentences (probation, community service, mediation, alternatives to pre-trial detention, etc.). |

Germany
Schleswig-Holstein Association for Social Responsibility in Criminal Justice; Probation and Victim Support (SHLV) The SHLV is a not-for-profit civil society with 50 institutional members (NGOs) working in the field of probation and victim support in the Federal State of Schleswig-Holstein. The SHLV coordinates civil society organizations in probation and victim support; develops initiatives for innovation in probation and victim support; trains staff/experts in probation and victim support; promotes and organises conferences on the topics.

Portugal
General Directorate of Reinsertion and Prison Service (DGRSP) The DGRSP has the mission "to develop policies for crime prevention, enforcement of judicial sentences and measures, social rehabilitation and management of the juvenile justice system and prison system, ensuring conditions consistent with human dignity and contributing to the defence of order and social peace "(Article 2 of decree-law No. 215/2012 of 28 September). In addition, DGRSP is in charge of developing crime prevention policies for the execution of social reintegration sentences and measures and the articulated and complementary management of the educational and prison guardianship systems and provides technical advice to courts in criminal proceedings and juvenile justice.
DGRSP aggregates probation services to supervise sanctions and judicial measures in the community applied to offenders, promoting the social reintegration of offenders and the prevention of recidivism. |

Romania
National Probation Directorate (NPD) The NPD is a public service body within the Ministry of Justice of Romania, that is responsible for 42 probation services and aiming at the social reintegration of persons who have committed crimes, kept in a state of freedom, and to supervise the execution of the obligations established by the court in their charge.
More concretely, the NPD has as its primary mission the enforcement of sanctions and non-custodial measures, by supervising convicted persons in conjunction with assisting them with their social reintegration. In addition, NPD provide support to judicial bodies in the process of imposing the most appropriate measures Probation services also have other attributions which, although they do not exactly match the essence of the notion of probation, have been considered useful either along the criminal process or separately from it. |

House of Justice of the Ministry of the German-speaking community (MDG-FbJUS) The MDG – FbJUS, from Belgium, is made up of five units: First counselling and support, Civil affairs, Prisoner accompaniment, Execution of sentences, and Expertise. Justice assistants work with victims and with convicts to carry out and monitor their sentences (probation, community service, mediation, alternatives to pre-trial detention, etc.). On the other hand, there are attachés responsible for the work on a structural level (collaboration on a national level, evaluation of new legal basis, international networking, etc.) as well as administrative personal.
